Tony started off 2011 gliding and snow-shoeing through Bulgaria - a winter adventure which will be running again in early 2012. In May, he is walking the entire 235km Larapinta Trail in Central Australia then flies to Dubrovnik to begin our 3 week Croatia Coast and Slovenia tour on 4 June. This is one of his favourite tours as it contrasts the Croatian coast and islands such as Mjlet with the waterfalls of Plitvice National Park then the mountains and lakes of the Slovenian Alps. There are still a few vacancies left if you would like to join Tony in June.
After a short survey to the Channel Islands for a new 2012 tour, Tony will be back to lead our “I Saw A Strange Land” tour in August (just a vacancies left). Tony believes that this will be "a once in a life time journey". Not only is he following in the footsteps of his father Arthur Groom, the rains over the past 6 months will mean the red centre will be abundant with flora and fauna.
Tony will then have a break for the rest of the year, but he would highly recommend our new guides in Greece (Sonya) and Macedonia (Ivo) who he trained as IPT guides in 2011.
