Wildlife and walks in 2012

Stretch yourself in 2012 Stretch yourself in 2012

While we are a walking and nature travel company, some of our tours have an extra focus such as regional food, culture & history, botanical and birdlife. Wildlife is also a feature of some tours in 2012 starting with Galapagos and Ecuador in May. In Africa we have two tours to see the wildlife across a range of habitats - firstly to Madagascar in October to see the amazing lemurs, chameleons and other endemic species. This is followed by the massive wildlife migrations and birdlife of Tanzania and Kenya on the Zanzibar to Samburu tour. With limited numbers on these tours you will need to get in quick.

In the European spring, Leo San Sebastian will guide you through the best national parks of Southern Spain on the new Andalucian tour then Enzo will take you to his homeland on the Southern Italian Sojourn. In September, we introduce two new tours - Paris to the Channel Islands followed by a 20 day journey through Turkey - both led by Lisa Groom.

Besides her classic Japanese Spring Journey, our guide Hiroko Kobayashi is also offering the new Autumn in Hokkaido walking tour in October. Both these tours feature seasonal food (always a highlight!), a combination of natural and cultural immersion and a chance to meet many local people along the way. The mountains and wonders of Bhutan are also a new journey in May 2012.

In Australia, Barry Davies will be guiding a new tour to South Australia in March. Lisa Groom looks forward to showing you her backyard on the Secrets of the Scenic Rim tour in July. A few months later, her father Tony Groom will be leading a new journey to Central Australia, I Saw A Strange Land which follows some of the route taken by his father, Arthur in the 1940s. In early October, we return to Northern NSW to explore the Nightcap and Border Ranges.

You can download any detailed tour itineraries or we can post a full colour copies to you. You can also get one of our 2012 full colour brochures posted to you. If you would like to talk further about any of the tours please contact our office on 07 55333583.
