Joe O’Donnell, has lived in the west of Ireland for most of his life, and knows the mountains and trails in this region like the back of his hand. He has spent his life walking mountains all around Ireland and he has also walked extensively outside of Ireland. After 35 years of teaching geography, Joe recently retired. He takes great pride in sharing his unique insight into the landscape of Ireland, its mountains, forests, bogs, beaches, cliffs, sand dunes, lakes and rivers. Joe also has a keen interest of human habitation in Ireland dating back thousands of years. While hill-walking is his favourite past-time, Joe also has a keen interest in current affairs, politics and sport.
