THIS TOUR IS A CONFIRMED DEPARTURE
Introducing our Iconic Queensland: Rainforest to the Reef walking tour. This tour is designed for those who value and enjoy the comfort of their own space while sharing unforgettable experiences with a small group of like-minded travellers; enjoy the best of both worlds! Of course, if you prefer to share a room, that’s OK too, we won’t judge! But there is NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT to pay if you do prefer your own private bedroom and bathroom. It’s the perfect balance of privacy and companionship, offering the joys of group travel – shared meals, laughter, stories, and memorable experiences – without compromising on personal comfort.
The majestic Bunya Mountains, less than three hours west of Brisbane, is a spectacular wilderness in an isolated section of the Great Dividing Range. We begin with two nights here amongst the cool eucalypt forests and woodlands, home to the world’s largest forest of bunya pines. Walks feature panoramic mountain scenery with views over the South Burnett region and southern plains. Wallabies, pademelons, and hundreds of colourful King parrots, rosellas and bowerbirds call this area home. Travelling via the home of the infamous Woodford Festival, we spend the next three days in one of Queensland’s most iconic beach destinations, Noosa where you can explore Noosa National Park, discover hidden treasures at the iconic Eumundi Market, relax and rejuvenate with beach yoga, and enjoy some of the best cuisine Queensland has to offer. Our next three nights are spent at the charming coastal town of Bargara, near Bundaberg. We stroll along the Burnett River, wander through the lush botanical gardens (home to the Hinkler Hall of Aviation) and visit the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. Explore the charming beachside town of Woodgate on the Burrum Coast which boasts some of the most beautiful, clear and calm waters in the Bundaberg Region. A day cruise to Lady Musgrave, the jewel of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, gives you a chance to snorkel over coral reefs, teeming with marine life. The island is an important nesting site to diverse birdlife and is part of the Capricornia Cays Important Bird Area. On our return to Brisbane, we stop two nights in the Sunshine Hinterland town of Montville and stay at a beautiful, tranquil eco-retreat. Gentle walks include Kondalilla National Park in the scenic Blackall Range, along with Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. And our farewell dinner promises to be a truly memorable evening.
